Mary Carolyn Jones passed from this life on July 4, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.
Carolyn was born on March 8, 1946, in Ringold, Oklahoma, to J.F. and Willie Bell (Abbott) Tuck. She spent her childhood in Ringold, where she attended grade school before graduating from Valliant High School with the Class of 1964. Following graduation, she continued her education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma.
In 1966, Carolyn moved to Oklahoma City, where she later met the love of her life, John Eldon Jones. The couple was united in marriage on December 1, 1967, and together they built a home in Oklahoma City, sharing 32 wonderful years of marriage and family life.
Carolyn devoted many years of service to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where she worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk. She began her career with the FAA in 1999 and retired in 2011, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.
Above all else, Carolyn treasured her family. She found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. She especially loved taking her grandson, Reid, to Oklahoma Sooners football games and enjoyed following sports throughout her life.
Carolyn had a passion for gardening and took pride in growing and canning fresh vegetables from her garden. She loved spending peaceful days at the family cabin, where she could relax and enjoy the company of those she loved most. She also enjoyed searching for antiques, shopping at TJ Maxx, and was always thrilled to discover a great bargain. Her warm heart, generous spirit, and love for life's simple pleasures made her a blessing to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Johnna Vance and her husband, Ronny, of Cushing, Oklahoma; her son, Trevor Jones and his wife, Sabrina, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; her brothers, Charles Tuck, Larry Tuck, Bill Tuck, Troy Tuck, Kenny Tuck, and Steve Tuck; her sister, Sheila Watkins; four grandchildren, Reid, Taylor, Jenna, and Dawson; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Eldon Jones; her parents, J.F. and Willie Bell Tuck; her brother, Clifford Tuck; and her sister, Linda Cogburn.
Carolyn will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her caring heart, her appreciation for life's simple joys, and the countless memories she created with those she loved. Her legacy of kindness, faithfulness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
The family invites all who knew and loved Carolyn to join them for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the family cabin.
