Funeral services for Loriene Claussen, 69 years old Thomas resident
will be held Tuesday, February 2, 1993 at 2:00 p.m. In the United
Methodist Church of Thomas, Oklahoma with Rev. Darryl Owen and Rev. Gary Davison officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mound Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.
 
Mrs. Claussen was born February 5, 1923 near Thomas, Oklahoma and died
at the Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma on January 31,
1993.  She spent most of her life living in or near Thomas.  As a small
child, her family moved to Three Sands, Oklahoma for two years.
They returned when she was around five years old to a farm east of Thomas.
 
She attended the Victor school southeast of Thomas.  After school she
worked in Thomas until her marriage to Marvin Claussen on June 23, 1941.
To this union five children were born.  They made their home for 50 years
on a farm northwest of Thomas.  She joined Marvin in working on the farm
while raising their children.  She was a member of the United Methodist
Church in Thomas.  Memorial may be made to the Church.
 
Loriene was a kind and caring person that will be sorely missed by family
and friends.  Her love, concern, and enjoyment of people was alway evident.
 
She is survived by 1 son Donnie and Glenda Claussen of Thomas, Oklahoma;
3 daughters Lynda and Otis Clark of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Marlene and Gary
Leddy of Leedey, Oklahoma, Carol and Larry Goyer of Weatherford, Oklahoma;
13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Leona Dillman Tolman, her husband, Marv in, 1 son, Marvin Larry; 4 brothers, Raymond, J. E., John, Danny, 3 sisters, Bea, Mary, and Mildred.
