Funeral services for Theo Whitson, age 90 of Enid were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 1999 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Don Tines officiating. Burial was at 3:00 p.m. in the Moorewood Cemetery, south of Leedey. Services were under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Theo was born in Moorewood, Oklahoma April 18, 1909 to Elmber and Rose Quck Coen and died Wednesday, October 27, 1999 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Centger. She was raised in Moorewood, graduating from Leedey High School. On December 24, 1933 she married J. "Merrill" Whitson. He preceded her in death in 1962. She moved to Enid in 1963. She worked at Enid News and Stationery, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Addie Whitson of Enid, and Grace Chappell and husband Donnie of Durham, Oklahoma; two sons, Lloyd Whitson of Enid, and Bill Whitson and wife Lee of Sacramento, California; and daughter-in-law Bessie Whitson of Grandfield, Oklahoma. Also surviving are five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and one sister, Rubby Chapman of Enid, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Jesse, one granddaughter, three brothers and one sister.
