Leonard Leroy Humphrey

March 31, 1901 ~ July 30, 1978

Fay – Leonard Leroy Humphrey, 77, died Sunday at Polo, Missouri. His service will be at 2 PM today in the Methodist Church at Fay with the Rev. Byron Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in the Fay Cemetery under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home, Vici.

Humphrey was born March 31, 1901, in Iowa to Sina and Charles Humphrey. On September 23, 1957, he married Bessie Haight at Arapaho. They had lived in the Watonga and Fay areas most of their life, and had recently moved to Polo, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie; one daughter, Leta Stone, Kansas City, Kansas; two step – daughters, Mary Haston, Phoenix, Arizona, and Florence Wilson, Kansas City, Kansas; four step – sons, Dean Haight, Polo, Missouri, Neil Haight, Watonga, Jim Haight, Taloga, and Charles Haight, Hunter; 25 grandchildren, and eight great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
