Funeral services for 78 year old Weatherford resident L.W. Trent Jr., will be held Wednesday May 15, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Weatherford, oklahoma, with Rev. Leonard Molone and Mr. Steve Taylor from the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery of Weatherford under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home. Western Star Lodge No. 138 AF&AM will conduct a memorial service.

L.W. was orn August 25, 1912 at Hammon, Oklahoma and died Monday, May 13, 1991 at the Southwestern Memorial Hospital in Weatherford. He was raised in Hammon, Oklahoma and attended schools there graduating from Hammon High School in 1930. After high school he attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater, Oklahoma and then Southwestern Normal School in Weatherford. Mr. Trent was married to Nena Holladay on October 10, 1937 at Clinton, Oklahoma. The Trent family moved to Weatherford in 1957 where they owned and operated Trent Dry Goods which later became Trent's Fabrics. L.W. had been bookkeeper for Starbright, Inc. of Wilbruton, Oklahoma from 1981 to 1991. He had bee in ill health the past 6 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford, member of Western Star Lodge No. 138 AF & AM, 32 Degree Mason, and received his 50 year Masonic Pin in 1987.

Survivors include his wife Nena Trent, of the home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; 2 sons, Luke trent and his wife Linda of Weatherford, and Winston Trent and his wife Janey of Wilburton, Oklahoma. Also 4 grandchildren, Marcia, Cindy, Kevan, and Jobey, also 1 great grandchild Jill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Agnes Trent and 2 sisters Wanda Trent, and Sue Dean.
