Services were conducted for Rev. John Larkin Dickson on Friday , at the Baptist Church in Weatherford.
John Dickson was born near Foss, on September 20,1900 to John Ruffin Dickson and Henrietta (Etta) Reynolds Alford Dickson Burton and died August 29, 1933 in the Clinton hospital.
He moved to Clinton in 1918.
On May 9, 1926, he married Miss Grace Trotter of Weatherford and they made their home there. Daughter Reba was born September 21, 1930.
He graduated from Southwestern in the summer of 1931 and began his life's work as a minister. He served various churches in the area and also taught school in Roger Mills County.
He became ill while holding a revival at Durham and was taken to his sister's home in Clinton. His condition worsened and he was taken to the Clinton for a major surgery on Monday. He did not regain his strength and died Tuesday morning.
Survivors include his wife. Grace ; their small daughter, Reba; his mother Mrs. Etta Burton of Clinton; two sisters Mrs. F. D. Adams, Clinton and Mrs. Rosa Newcomb of Dinuba, California; four brothers, Reuben of Clinton, Andrew of Coahoma, Texas, Ephriam of Clinton and Louis of Fresno Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father,
