Angie Coussens
(October 7, 1932 - January 29, 2013)

Angie Coussens, left to be with Jesus in Heaven on January 29, 2013. She was born on October 7, 1932 in Carnegie, OK to David Lester Jones and Loretta Smith Jones. She married Bill J. Coussens on November 2, 1951 in Oklahoma City and was a homemaker raising five children. Her family moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1972, where she operated Angelene’s Photography from 1974 to 1984. She loved the arts and music and shared those joys with her family and community. She had a beautiful voice and often sang solos at First Christian Church. Angie was also interested in local history and contributed time to the Top of Oklahoma Historical Society Museum.

She is survived by her five children and spouses, Bron & Chris Coussens, Miles Coussens, Lise Simpson, Jon & Cathie Coussens, and Greg& Shauna Coussens; grandchildren Steven, Michelle, Hayden, Ellen, Shannon and Reece; five great grandchildren; and many other relatives.

Angie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Bill, her parents, and a sister, Betty.

A funeral service will be held for Angie at Exchange Avenue Baptist Church at 1312 S. Penn in Okla. City on Monday, February 4th at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Angie can be given to Exchange Avenue Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
