Graveside services were held for Mary Ann Davis, September 6, 2002 at 10:00 a.m., at the Butler Cemetery with John Rodgers officiating.
Mary Ann Davis was born March 12, 1915 in Deloit, Iowa to Gladys Bolender and William Henry Harms. She passed away September 3, 2002 at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.
She lived with her family in Missouri for a few years and in the 1920's moved to Moorewood, Oklahoma and then Texmo, Oklahoma and later to Leedey, Oklahoma where she lived until she was 16. She was married to Paul Douglas Davis at Rae, Oklahoma on October 20, 1935.
Mary Ann lived in Butler, Oklahoma for 15 years and then in Porum for another 15 years before she and her husband settled in Elk City during the 1960's. Mary Ann worked at the Bethel Retiremenet Center from 1965 until 1969. She then worked at the Elk City Community Hospital in the Dietary Department from 1969 until 1975 when she went to work at the Quality Inn.
She is survived by twin children, Larry Davis of Foss, Oklahoma and Betty Hargues of Elk City, Oklahoma; two other sons, Ronnie Davis of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Donald Davis of Parkville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Edwin Earl Harms of Borger, Texas and George Henry Harms of Cordell, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Bobby and Patty,
and 4 sisters, Gertie Marie Woodall, Margaret Bollinger, Joyce Haynes and an
infant sister.
