Funeral services for Clifford Eugene Baggett were conducted Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Butler with Rev. Roy Wilburn officiating.
Interment followed in the Butler Cemetery, Butler, Custer County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Clifford Eugene Baggett was born June 9, 1922 in the Herring community to Newman and Estella Rogers Baggett and passed away Sunday at the age of 80.
He graduated from Strong City High School and was then married to Lolita White on December 16, 1940.
She preceded him in death in 1980 and he was married to Leona White Collings White in 1981 and she preceded him in death in 1999.
Clifford owned a service station in Cheyenne, worked in construction, also worked at the gypsum plant near Canton, Oklahoma, worked for 18 years with Arkla Gas and then retired after 25 years of service with Ionies Corporation at the age of 75. Work was a hobby for Mr. Baggett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, an infant sister, and a grandson.
Survivors include three children, Phyllis Ford and her husband Bruce of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; Patricia Addington and her husband Charles of Afton, Oklahoma; and Wayne Baggett and his wife Fran of Elk City; a step daughter, LaDine McKinney and her husband Jim Sanders of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Baggett and his wife Jo of Oklahoma City; Floyd Baggett and his wife Betty of Balko, Oklahoma; and Raymond Baggett of Vian, Oklahoma.
