Goldie Helen Adams

February 1, 1915 ~ January 24, 2011

Funeral services for Goldie Adams were held Thursday, January 27, 2011 in the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City with Rev. Roy Wilburn officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery under direction of Martin Funeral Home .

Goldie Helen Stine was born February 1, 1915 at Cookston, OK to Dave and Lizzie (Littaker) Stine and passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at the age of 95.

She attended school near Wilburton, OK. She and Bill A. Adams were married on June 7, 1933. They started as farmers before moving to California during WW II. They returned to Oklahoma City and then to Wilburton and then in 1951 moved to Elk City. In 1962, they moved to Butler, OK where they owned and operated a grocery store for 12 years .

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Butler.

She is survived by 4 children: Wanda Logan of Elk City, Kenneth Adams and his wife Eufonda of Foss, Don Adams and his wife Glena of Elk City, Douglas Adams and his wife Jeanie of Butler, a daughter in law, Wyvetta Adams of Elk City, 18 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Harl Stine and Quinton Stine of Nicoma Park, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Jack Adams, 5 sisters, 1 brother and 4 grandchildren.
