Angela Renee' Brown was born August 16, 1972 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She departed this life January 6, 2015 at the age of 42 years, 4 months and 21 days.
She graduated from Caney Valley High School in Ramona, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Northeastern State University and later her Masters Degree in Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She taught Science at Depew High School.
She was united in marriage to Will VanOrsdol August 7, 1993. From this union were born three children, Hope, Jacob and James. Will passed away October 15, 2002 after a tough battle with cancer. With the support of her church and kids she found strength to move forward. She met up with a former school and family friend, Scott Brown and they started dating. On March 17, 2005 Matthew Scott Brown and Angela Renee' VanOrsdol were united in marriage. From this union were born two children, Zachariah and Matthew.
She was a member of Grace Refuge Church. She enjoyed pottery, Civil War history, reading, basket weaving, scrapbooking, sewing and crafts. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Brown of the home; six children, Hope VanOrsdol, Jacob VanOrsdol, James VanOrsdol, Zachariah Brown, Matthew Brown all of the home, and Micha Brown of Nowata; Mother, Joye Lucas and Step Father Johnny of Claremore; Father, Roger Hale and Step Mother, Teri of Bartlesville; two brothers, Robert Parrett and wife Angie of Kellyville and Ryan Hale of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Robin Goodine of Kellyville, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Will VanOrsdol and step sister, Tiffani Rayne Vogan.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Depew High School Gym. Interment will follow at the VanOrsdol Family Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home. Condolences can be sent to www.hutchinsmaplesfuneralhome.com.
