Larry Junior Jones was born October 25, 1949, to Junior Jones and Faye Jones in Hanford, California. He departed this life on October 12, 2024, at the age of 74 years. He had been a Kellyville area resident for 19 years.
Larry was raised with a strong sense of duty to God, family, and his country. The 60's was a pivotal time for the United States. On March 8, 1965, We, as a nation, entered the Vietnam War. Larry was true to himself in a time of unrest and certainty for many. At his first opportunity, he left high school and the life he knew behind and enlisted with the United States Army in September of '67. After three years of service and a tour in Vietnam, He was Honorably discharged. Larry Jones and Anita Bell were united in marriage on February 22, 1969, in Raisin City California; to this union was born four children. Larry worked supporting his family for many years as a mechanic. His love and devotion for his family were evident in even the smallest ways. He loved big and was a collector of memories and the small things that could take him back to a moment in time. Larry had always been a prankster. His grandchildren brought out the best of that as he always found the perfect time for a scare. Upon retirement, Larry took up his tool bag and went to the shop just outside his home where he became a master tinkerer; returning each evening after a day of work. A day at the shop always involved time with his dog Bleau, hotdogs were served for lunch regularly, something Bleau enjoyed. Being the avid fan of football that he was a game was sure to always be on.
Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anita; four Children, Duane Jones of Kellyville; Kristy Jones of Arkansas; Kevin Jones of Los Angeles, CA; Stephanie Tyler and husband, Eric of Harrah; three sisters, Sue Hines, Kathy Patton and Kelli Hall; eight grandchildren, Travis Jones, Michael Osborn, Curtis Jones, Timmothy Bugajski, Ryan Tyler, Bailee Tyler, Tony Bugajski and Scott Bugajski; as well as Twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
