Alvin C. Ailey

Alvin C. Ailey was born August 16, 1938 to Alvin Louis and Eula Crystal Ailey in Milfay, Oklahoma. He departed this life March 16, 2021 at the age of 82.

He graduated from Milfay Public Schools. On August 19, 1960 Alvin Ailey and Margaret Mae Brown were united in marriage. To this union were born three children, Mike, Lori and Lisa. They enjoyed forty-five years together before her passing December 21, 2005.

He worked as a farmer/rancher and oilwell pumper as well. Alvin started the Milfay volunteer Fire Department, serving as fire chief for numerous years. As well, he served on the Milfay School Board for over thirty years. He was a faithful member of the Gypsy Holiness Church. Alvin had many joys in life that included working on the farm, fishing, elk hunting and playing dominos.

He is survived by his children, Mike Ailey and wife Malisa, Lori Victory, Lisa Parks and husband Rick; eleven siblings, Hillis Ailey and wife Jody, Phyllis Haulcomb, Melvin Ailey and wife Marilyn, Carl Ailey and wife Jerri, Darrell Ailey and wife Mary, Judy Cain, Janice Neesmith, Jeletta Brown and husband Bill, Lee Wayne Ailey, Donald Ailey and wife Joey, Ronald Ailey and wife Connie; eight grandchildren, Brian Ailey and wife Brittany, Ben Ailey and wife Amelia, Tiffany Boyd and husband James, Ashley Christian and husband Tyler, Travis Victory and wife Heather, Justin Ailey and wife Kamry, Marisa Tosh and husband Loren, and Emily Parks; fourteen great grandchildren, Dakota, Blake, Austin, Adrienne, Ashlyn, Addison, and Riata Ailey, Oaklynn Tosh, Peyton and Paisley Boyd, Porter Victory, Carson, Layton and Everly Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son in law, Don Victory.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am, Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Bristow Holiness Church with interment to follow at the Sunrise Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 21st at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home; the family will be there from 6:00-8:00 pm
