Verna Mae Street Naifeh

Verna Mae Naifeh of Sapulpa died Monday, Dec. 23, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born to Jesse Verner and Lelia Mary Street on August 29, 1934 outside Chandler, OK. A graduate from Chandler High School where she was the only tuba player in the band. Verna Mae graduated from business school and began her career in banking. Verna Mae retired as an Assistant Vice-President from First National Bank & Trust in Tulsa.

Verna Mae was a member of PTO Chapter DT, the Altar Guild of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, and a dedicated sports fan when any of her kids and grandkids were playing. She gifted many people her amazing handmade quilts as well as delicious Baklawa and baked goods. Her love of snow skiing led her to help with many Okie bus trips to Colorado. Taking any chance to go even if she was scrunched in the back of the car. She enjoyed many worldwide travels with her husband, Monroe before his death and with whom she was married for 58 years.

Besides Monroe and her parents, Verna Mae was predeceased in death by her sister Laura Ellen Crall and brother-in-law Joe Crall. She is survived by two grateful sons; Kevin Naifeh of Sapulpa; Kirk Naifeh and wife Amanda of Sapulpa. The five grandchildren who will miss her especially are Alec Naifeh and wife Cierra, great-grandson Alexander III; Nash Naifeh and wife Trista; Margeaux Naifeh and husband Thomas, great-granddaughter Monreaux; the twins Madeline and Amelia.

In her close family, she is also survived by nieces Sheri Evans and husband Wayne; Susan Wiggins and husband John; Mary Naifeh; Shelia Naifeh; Jamie Naifeh; and Karen with her husband Nathan Harmon and daughter Lexy. Also, nephews Wayne Crall and wife Joan, their son Joesph; Bill Naifeh and wife Linda Correll.

Family visitation will be Monday, December. 30, 2024 at Green Hill Funeral Home, 400 E Teel Rd., Sapulpa, from 5-7 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 1420 E. Dewey, Sapulpa, OK 74066. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the memorial fund at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 1420 E. Dewey, Sapulpa, OK 74066 or the Alzheimer Association, Alz.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Green Hill Funeral Home, 400 E Teel Rd., Sapulpa, OK.
