Sandra Marie Speaker-Hopkins passed from this life on Thursday, July 7, 2016, in Enid, Oklahoma. Sandra was born September 25, 1937, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to her parents James Byron and Hazel Ruth Speaker. She attended Central High School in Tulsa and graduated in 1955. Sandra spent the majority of her adult life in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she worked as a realtor. She began her real estate career in 1974 with Hopper Realty, and then opened her own agency, Sandy's Showcase Realty in 1978.
Sandra loved OU Football, antiques, reading, gardening and her beloved dogs. She also enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Society, with which she had many friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, James Byron Speaker and Hazel Ruth Speaker.
Sandra is survived by her two children, daughter Patricia M. Hopkins, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; son WB Ghent Hopkins and wife Jil, of Enid, Oklahoma; her sister, JoJeane London, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, James Speaker and wife Shirley, of Arlington, Texas; and Robert Speaker and wife Patricia, of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Sandra had four grandchildren she adored and to whom she was known as “Mammaw”; Cody D. Hopkins and wife, Sherbet, of Osaka, Japan; Casey M. Hopkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Cameron P. Hopkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Jenny Z. Hopkins, of Enid, Oklahoma.
A private family service will be held at the gravesite and will be presided over by Reverend Kathy Morris, a family friend.
In lieu of flowers we request donations be made to Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
