Kurt was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on June 4, 1955 to the late Bobby Rex Shelton & Artie Mae (Glimp) Shelton. He passed from this life in Enid, Oklahoma on February 17, 2025 at the age of 69 years, 8 months, & 13 days. Kurt was raised & educated in Enid, Oklahoma & was a 1974 graduate of Enid High School. After graduation, he & the family moved back to Drumright where he remained the rest of his life. Growing up, he was a boy scout and played football. He loved hunting, fishing, shooting guns, throwing axes, & making knives. He also enjoyed building boats & racing cars. Kurt had worked in the oilfield all his life and had retired from Sweeny Well Service. He was a cattle rancher, a horseback rider, and loved getting in touch with his Native American side. If it had a country connection, he probably did it already. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Brother: Joe Bob Shelton.
