Verba was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on September 18, 1934 to the late Leonard Smith & Druce (Horrell) Smith. She passed from this life in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on February 8, 2025 at the age of 90 years, 4 months, & 21 days. Verba was raised & educated in Olive. She married Garroll Thomas "Whitey" Guinn on June 9, 1965 & they made their home in Drumright. In her early years, Verba had worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone. After the office in Drumright closed, she began substituting for the Drumright Schools until her retirement. In 2019 she left Drumright to be closer to her daughter. Verba loved to cook, especially deserts, which she supplied for numerous funeral dinners. She enjoyed sewing & spending time with her family & grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband in 1996; Son: Michael Guinn, Sr. in 2023; and Brothers & Sisters: Loretta Kincade, Fern Baker, Zora Bozworth, Lawrence Smith - & Loyd Smith.
Her remaining family includes 2 Daughters: Anita Philpott & husband Calvin of Tulsa, Jennifer Rowland of Oklahoma City; Grandchildren: Michael & Erica, Joshua & Tammy, Heather & Chris, Hanna & Ben, Hadly & John, Samuel - & then Breanna; Great Grandchildren: Tristan, Josh, Jane, Jaden, Makynlee, Karsyn, Zachary, Braden, Atti, Mia, Jastyn,Tenley, Preslee, Val, Harper, Logan - & Ezra; 1 Brother: Darrell Smith of Oilton; 1 Sister: Barbara Molder of Oilton; PLUS numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins - & other family members.
