Sherry, a beloved wife, mother, sister, nana, and friend passed away on April 25, 2024, in Bristow, Oklahoma at the age of 67. She was born on November 26, 1956, to Bill and Shirley Bethel in Bristow, Oklahoma.
On June 21, 1975, in Bristow, Oklahoma, Sherry united in marriage with her junior high sweetheart Victor Dowdy. She was a member of the First Church of God in Bristow. Sherry loved gardening and working outside. She loved taking care of everyone from her kids, grandkids, great-grand kids, nieces, and nephews. Sherry loved everyone and everyone loved Sherry. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Victor Dowdy; one daughter, Tisha Dowdy; one son, Chad Dowdy; one grandson, Blaylen Crawford; one granddaughter, Brenlynn Dowdy; two great-grandsons, Aiyden Crawford and Adonis Crawford; two brothers, Mike Bethel and Tim Bethel; nieces and nephews, Josh and Megan Bethel, Mandi and Scott Horn, Matt Bethel, Chelsea Bethel, and Ashley and Chance Johnson, all of whom she loved dearly. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Shirley Bethel.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 1:00p at the First Church of God in Bristow. Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
