Glenda graduated from Sapulpa High School. She then met James Roy Kendall, and they married on April 30, 1955, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She worked as a waitress, in retail and as a homemaker.
She loved cooking for her family, sewing, and playing the piano and accordion in her early years. For many years, her and her oldest sister Phyllis would travel to many churches to perform music and praise the Lord. She loved going to gospel concerts to watch her favorites: "The Goodman Family" and "The Ledbetter family". She also loved board games with her mom Zeda and sister Elsie, shopping and eating at restaurants, venturing out to casinos from time to time, church, worshipping the Lord, and her family. She selflessly made many sacrifices for those she loved.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents Ellis and Zeda Smith, siblings Phyllis Dale and Elsie Lewis, and nephews Howard Dale and Keith Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years James Kendall, brother Elsie Smith, sons James Jr., Terry and Michael Kendall, her daughter Rhonda Kirk and son-in-law Robert Kirk, grandchildren Jason and wife Ashley Kendall of Pensacola, Florida, Ryan Kirk and wife Britanny of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Cherie Kirk of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Andrew and wife Markie of Glenpool, Oklahoma, James Kendall (I) of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Becki Anders of OKC, Oklahoma, Dylan and Kendall from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, ad Josh Kendall of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, great grandchildren Athena, Justin, Nathan, Caleb, Kylor, Deaton and Zoey Kendall and Kynley, Ian and Andie Kirk, nieces and nephews Gloria Christner, Ronnie Charles, Pam Ibbetson, Laura Watkins, Joey Dale, David Dale, Damon Dale, Brian Smith, Kevin Smith, Regina Whitehouse, Janice Lamb and Christy Davis, and friends Debbie Bryant and many more.
