Virginia Lee Redden Dorsey

Virginia was born in Westville, Oklahoma on February 8, 1933 to the late Virgil Harrison Redden & Amy Armenda (Templeton) Redden. She passed from this life on December 4, 2024 at the age of 91 years, 9 months, & 26 days.

Virginia was raised and educated in Drumright. She married William Clyde Dorsey in Tulsa on October 18, 1952 & to this union, 4 children were born. In her early years, Virginia had worked at the Drumright Fon-da-lite Club (Freddie's), Huff's Rexall Drug Store, & was the owner of Rick's Dairy Hut. Later in life, she worked for Saundra & A.B. Steele, and as a substitute teacher for both Central Vo-Tech & the Drumright Public School System. She was also the evening attendant for Michael's Funeral Home in Drumright for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a 50+ year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; her husb and: Clyde; a Son: Ricky in 2024; 2 Brothers: Richard Redden, Danny Redden; & a Sister: Shirley Busey.

She leaves behind 2 Children: Chuck & Liz Dorsey, Cheryl & Greg Fulkerson; Grandchildren: Megan, Chad, Levi, Nicholas; Great Grandchildren: Landon, Blaire, Axl - & Sophia; Brother: Virgil Redden & wife Jan of California; Sister: Janetta Hynous & husband Michael of Kentucky; Nieces & Nephews: Rhonda Muller, Lana Busey, Sandra & Roy Cobb, Robbie & Brenda Dorsey, Mel Dorsey; Plus several other relatives & friends.
