Byron Dean Allen was born December 26, 1954 to Jesse Warren and Hannah Allen in Claremore, Oklahoma. He departed this life May 3, 2025 at the age of 70 years.
Byron, or Roy as he was better known, was a 1975 graduate of Bristow High School. He remained a Bristow area resident until recent years; moving to Sapulpa after the death of his wife Frances. Roy served honorably with the United States Navy. He was a quiet and reserved man who loved to spend his time outdoors in nature away from the hustle and Bustle of a busy day. He was great with horses and spent some younger years as a jockey. Being mechanically minded gave way to tinkering, which also made him a great mechanic, fixing most anything. Roy worked many years with Kwikset and most recently as a machinist. March 11, 2007, Roy and Frances were married. Thirteen years of marriage gave a lifetime of memories, love and laughter. His true soul's mate. Roy could often be found sharing a story or taking one in with his friends at the Sapulpa VFW.
Roy is survived by two brothers, Robert Warren Allen of Bristow and Corky Will Allen of Henryetta; one sister, Poni Gayle Allen of Moore and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Frances; one brother, Anthony Joe Allen and one sister, Adrianne Allen.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Allen Family Cemetery.
