Anna Mae Wagner of Miami died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center. She was 86.
Mrs. Wagner was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Cleora to George H. and Anna L. (Gillenwater) Ekberg. She graduated from Northeastern State College in Tahlequah. She taught public school in the Miami School System for 37 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Oklahoma State Teachers Association.
She married James Loren Wagner on Dec. 24, 1943, in Columbus, Kan. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2001. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include one son and his wife, James and Margie Wagner of Miami, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Williams-Timberhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
