William “Bill” J. Rochelle

William “Bill” J. Rochelle, age 68, died on October 12, 2009 at the Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma.

The son of Andrew James and Reva Jane (McDowell) Rochelle, Bill was born on September 3, 1941 in Ashland, Ohio. Bill proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1965 thru 1968. Bill was united in marriage to Paula Strait on February 15, 1975.

Bill was the owner and operator Get Wired Electric in Grove for the last fifteen years. Bill was a 32nd Degree Shriner in Indianapolis, his home lodge with the 821st in Heidelberg Germany. Bill had been a drummer for the Shriners Orchestra. Bill loved racing cars; he had just run his fastest time last Saturday. He also enjoyed boating and traveling. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grove, Oklahoma.

Bill is survived by his wife Paula Rochelle, one son Justin Rochelle of Grove, Oklahoma, one daughter Jennifer Underwood of Hackett, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Nicole, Brittney and Steven Underwood and one brother Thomas L. Rochelle of Millersburg, Ohio. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Delbert Buz Roberts and Dr. Richard Dayringer will co-officiate the services. Masonic Rites will be provided by the Grove Masonic Lodge #187. Interment will follow at the Williams Timberhill Cemetery, west of Miami, Oklahoma. Memorial donations can be made in Bill's name to the Feed the Children organization.
