Annie Pearl (Broyles) Miller, 94, of Vinita, passed away on April 22, 2010, at her home. She was born Feb. 8, 1916, to Archie C. and Ruby Ray (Deitrick) Broyles.
She graduated from Waynesville, Mo. High School and attended Jr. College at Miami. She married Fred W. Miller on Aug. 16, 1936, in Oswego, Kan.
Annie was a Charter Member of Carter Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there for many years.
She and her husband lived on a farm near Afton most of their 59 years of life. They moved to Vinita in 1989. She loved working in her garden, fishing, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Miller, on Sept. 28, 1995; her parents, Archie and Ruby Broyles; two sisters and four brothers; and a very special grand-daughter, Karen Sherrick.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Ruby and Jack Beauchamp of Vinita, and Thelma and Jerry Fultz of Parsons, Kan.; one son, Freddy J. Miller of Eucha; five grandchildren, Bryan Miller and wife Stacy of Coweta, Wade Sherrick and wife Kim of Welch, Alan Fultz, of Parsons, Kan., Sheri Hill and husband Ron of Vinita, and Amy Pierce and husband Troy of Fort Smith, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, Morgan Hill, Tyler and Dillon Sherrick, Patrick Pierce and Chase Miller; two sisters, May Fern Pease of Kent, Wash., and Naomi Alice Napier of Lithia, Fla.; and one brother, Johnnie Broyles of Baytown, Texas.
A family visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Thomas Funeral Home of Welch.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, April, 26, at the Thomas Funeral Home of Welch, with Reverend Terry Wise officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Miller; and grandsons, Bryan Miller, Wade Sherrick, Alan Fultz, Ron Hill, Troy Pierce.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home of Welch.
