JAY, Okla. … Robert L. McGhee, 85, Jay, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996, at Grove General Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. McGhee was born Jan. 22, 1911, at Miami. He was a bricklayer's aide, a farmer and a rancher. He was a member of Cornerstone Church, Southwest City, Mo. He moved in 1942 to the Jay area.
He married Anna Mae Boyles on Nov. 20, 1935, at Chelsea. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Bobby Jim McGhee, Jay, and Donald Ray McGhee, Leavenworth, Kan.; three daughters, Mary Martineau, Grove, Barbara Dannels, Siloam Springs, Ark., and Donna D. Prater, Jay; a brother, John McGhee, Welch; a sister, Faye Everley, Grove; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Church, Southwest City. The Rev. Ralph Houck and Carson Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Williams Timber Hill Cemetery, near Welch.
Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. today at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
