Kenneth Shidler

Kenneth was born March 19, 1933 in Lawrence County, Illinois to Adene and Mary (Leathers) Shidler.

He served in the Army from May 1950 until May of 1953 during the Korean War.

Kenneth married Wanda Hobbs on June 11, 1982 in Vinita, Oklahoma.

He worked in the oil fields as a well driller and later as a truck driver, before his retirement. He was a member of the Nowata VFW.

He died Wednesday morning, May 31, 2006 at his home near Vinita. His Parents, Sister Margie, and two Brothers, Bernard and David preceded him in death. He is survived by: His Wife, Wanda of the Home near Vinita, Oklahoma. Sons, Ken Allen Shidler of Las Vegas, Nevada, David Shidler of Dewey, Oklahoma Robert Shidler of Bellevue, Nebraska and James Shidler of Bridgeport, Illinois. Step-Sons, Wayne Campbell of Abilene, Texas, James Williams of Canadian, Texas Step-Daughter, Shelia Lewis of Nowata, Oklahoma Brother, Ed Shidler of Lehigh Acres, Florida Sisters, Doris Louckmiller of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Pat Kilpatrick of Ocala, Florida Ruth Plummer of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Janet Jarus of Ocala, Florida Nine Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. And a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Funeral Service: 10:30 Monday June 5, 2006 at Vinita Cemetery.
