Raymond W. “Ray” Redman, 96, formerly of Vinita, currently of Bartlesville, passed away early Friday morning, April 24, 2026, in Bartlesville. He was born on December 7, 1929, in Vinita to Charlie Wolverton Redman and Mittie Hazel (Dresher) Redman. Ray served his country in the United States Air Force form 1947-1949, ranked as Corporal. In 1993, Ray was married to Gladys Reheard, they enjoyed several years together, traveling and making the best of life, she preceded him in death in 2021. Ray was active in Vinita Masonic Lodge #5 and First Christian Church in Vinita. After Gladys passed away, he moved to Bartlesville to me near his son and daughter in law. Ray loved to ride horses and travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gladys, brothers, Everett Redman and Lester Redman, sisters, Willa Jean Cauthon and Betty Jo Redman.
The family includes, his children, Stephen Dale Redman and wife Bonnie of Bartlesville, Joel Ray Redman of Yuma, Arizona, Shani Simon of Laguna Beach, California; seven grandchildren; Gladys’s children, Deborah, Diane, and Don, and their families.
The celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita, Pastor Skip McClain will officiate. Interment and Military Rites will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
