Jacquelyn Sue “Jackie” (Stinson) Jones
October 18, 1963 ~ January 20, 2025

Jacquelyn Sue “Jackie” Jones, 61-year-old Marlow resident, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 18, 1963, in Poteau to Edward Dell Stinson and Wilma Evelyn (Oglesby). Jackie was a graduate of Heavener High School in 1981, then graduated with her associate’s in art from Carl Albert Junior College, then attended the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith for a time.

On August 16, 2003, Jackie was united in marriage to Jeff Jones, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, they enjoyed over 21 years of marriage. She was currently working as a teacher’s aide for Duncan Public Schools at the Emerson Elementary School. Jackie was a dedicated teacher’s aide, whose compassion and dedication positively impacted the lives of countless children throughout her career. She had a passion for thrifting, often delighting in the thrill of finding unique treasures and charming knickknacks that filled her home with warmth and character, all adorned in her favorite color, pink. Beyond her professional life, Jackie cherished the moments spent traveling with her beloved spouse, exploring new destinations on numerous cruises and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her greatest joy came from visiting her children and grandchildren, relishing every opportunity to share love, laughter, and stories with her family. Jackie was a deovout Christian, and attended the Central High Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Woodral and E.D. Stinson, stepson, Donald Duane Richards, brothers in law, Gary Armstrong, and Jimmy Huddleston.

The family includes, her loving husband, Jeff Jones of the home, her children, Ashley Whitmore and husband William of Wister, Jordan Martins and husband Brad of Afton, Courtney Richards of Wister, Jaime Aguilar and husband Gabriel of Hodgen, mother and father in law Judy and Wayne Jolly of Vinita, grandchildren, Ashton Durant, Josie Hart, Maddox Whitmore, Olivia Richards, Kalleigh Aguilar, Delilah Molina, Samuel Molina, Hannah Molina, Jett Martins, and one on the way, siblings are Carolyn Huddleston of Russellville, Arkansas, Danny Woodral and wife Ann of Heavener, Shirley Armstrong of Hontubby, Joe Paul Stinson and wife Waldina of Heavener, Edward Stinson and wife Lana of Poteau, Harvey Stinson and wife Loretta of Sulphur, one sister in law, Joy Bryant and husband Duane of Monkey Island, numerous other relatives and many friends.

The celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel, with Pastor Sam Buzzard officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Casket bearers will be Brad Martins, Duane Bryant, Jarrett Sparks, Wayne Jolly, Gabriel Aguilar, and William Whitmore.
