Nancy Jeanette Howard, 77-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on November 29, 2024, at her home. She was born on June 3, 1947, in Vinita to James Arnold Watkins and Helen Mae (Griffith) Watkins. Nancy was a graduate of Sheridan Union High School in Englewood, California. Nancy was married to Floyd Raymond “Flip” Howard on July 19, 1969, in Wichita Falls, Texas, he preceded her in death on August 30, 2023. Nancy and Flip moved back to Vinita in 2008, after living in California, New York, Maine, Germany, and Kansas City, among other places. Nancy was an outstanding bowler, enjoyed golfing, fishing, and taking care of her African Violets, and birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband and her precious pets, Brandy, and Whiskey.
The family includes her sisters, Marty Watkins Osten of Montgomery, Texas, niece and nephew, Jennifer Trull, and Chad Osten, numerous other family members and friends.
The graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery Shelter in Vinita on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 1100 a.m...
