© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 Larry Joe "Hollywood" McLaughlin Sr. Funeral for Larry Joe "Hollywood" McLaughlin Sr., 58, Lawton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Ronald Simmons officiating. Prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Mr. McLaughlin Sr. died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in Lawton. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born July 8, 1950, in Lawton, to Daisy and Don McLaughlin. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1969. He attended Cameron University and worked as a silversmith making jewelry. He entered the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam Conflict. After his discharge, he returned to Lawton. He married Delrena Linn Holloway McLaughlin on Aug. 19, 1974, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked for Cool-Temp Siding for 15 years and laid brick for Rooks Construction until ill health forced his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Indian Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; children: Daisy McLaughlin, Lawton; Robert McLaughlin, Wilkesboro, N.C.; Lauren McLaughlin, and Larry Joe McLaughlin Jr., his father; two sisters: Charlotte Rooks, Sherry Mackay; and a brother, Lanny McLaughlin, all of Lawton; 13 grandchildren: Shawn, Morgan, Ashtin, Blake, Katie, Tino, Bolie, Lily, Megan, Nathan, Blake, Emily and Kinsley; and many other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Don McLaughlin Jr.; and a granddaughter, Samantha Littlehawk McLaughlin.
