© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma November 25, 2010 John Edgar Marra John E. Marra was born on August 23, 1965 at Ft Sill, Oklahoma to Anthony J. and Beverly [Whitener] Marra. He died on November 25, 2010 in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 45. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Carriage Hills Christian Church with Pastor Terry Marsh, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday evening at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home. John was raised and attended school in Lawton and Germany, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1983. His work history included 9 years at Goodyear here in Lawton, and with Halliburton in Duncan. John married Kimberly Wallace in 1990 at Lawton. Their 2 daughters, Amanda and Alyssa, were the center of John’s world. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing spades with his girls, his pets, studying astronomy, and history- especially the times, places and individuals recorded in the Bible. John was baptized at Carriage Hills Christian Church. Survivors include his daughters, Amanda and Alyssa, both of Lawton; his parents, AJ and Beverly Marra; brothers, Tony and Vincent Marra, both of Lawton; sisters, Terry Marsh of Lawton and Tammy Dickson and husband Jim of York, PA; Amanda and Alyssa’s Mom, Kimberly Wallace of Lawton, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. |
