C. Marcelline "Marcy" Berryhill Lorentino

C. Marcelline [Leary] Lorentino, 75, known as Marcy to friends and family, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 2, 2014 after a long fight with Alzheimer's.

Marcy was born July 11, 1939, in Elgin, OK to Dovie Ione and Hayden Berryhill. She had two younger sisters; Judy and Marilyn. They attended school in Lawton, OK and graduated from Lawton High School.

Marcy married Richard Emerson Leary, September 1, 1956 in Lawton, OK. Together they had four sons; Victor, Ricky, Andy and Steve. They divorced after 11 years of marriage.

Marcy raised the four boys, mostly by herself, as they grew up and attended schools in Fletcher and Lawton. During this time she managed to encourage and support her sons' many different interests and activities while also excelling at work, advancing to the top secretary at Fort Sill, working for the serving Commanding Generals.

Marcy met and was courted by the love of her life, William "Bill" Lorentino Jr. They married January 31, 1981. With Bill came an additional four sons: Tino, William, Quanah and James whom she loved.

After several years in Lawton, Marcy and Bill moved with their careers to Cherokee, NC and to Washington D.C. where Marcy and Bill worked until retirement from civil service at the Pentagon and the Department of the Interior, respectively.

After retirement, Marcy and Bill owned and operated a polygraph examination business in Oklahoma City, OK and Phoenix, AZ. They worked and travelled with the business, side by side for many very happy years.

Marcy was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007. They sold the business and Bill took on the added responsibility of caregiver. They continued to travel and share good times with family and friends until the disease moved to the point where Marcy became dependent. They returned to Lawton in 2012 to be closer to family. Bill continued to support and nurture Marcy, side by side, until her death.

Bill Lorentino is truly a kind, patient, marvelous man.

Marcy will always be remembered for her intelligence and sense of humor even as the disease progressed. Her home was always open to family and friends and her love and encouragement was felt by many.

Marcy was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, William and Dorothy Sunrise Lorentino; her sister, Judy Johnson; brothers-in-law, James Aud and Ronald Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Gretchen Dyer. She is survived by her husband Bill, of the home; sister, Marilyn Aud, Tulsa, OK; brother and sister in-laws: Ludolph (Ludy) and Blanche Lorentino; four sons: Victor Leary and wife Martha, Lawton, OK; Richard Leary, The Colony, TX; Anthony Leary and wife Lisa, The Colony, TX; and Steve Leary, Dallas, TX; four stepsons: Tino Lorentino, Burleson, TX; William Lorentino and wife Michelle, Eufaula, OK; James Lorentino and wife Deana, Wichita, KS; and Quanah Lorentino and wife Lisa, Lawton, OK; fifteen grandchildren: Zachary Leary, Kristen Todd, Anna Newport, Elise Maloney, Nick Leary, Emily Leary, Jenny Leary, Adrienne Lorentino, April Lorentino, Kerry (Bear) Lorentino, Coty Lorentino, Nick Riley, Alora Riley, Robert "Bobby" Lorentino, Raven Lorentino and their families; and 14 great grandchildren; as well as many cousins, relatives and friends.
