© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma March 25, 2016 William Clarence "Bill" Logan SGM Ret William "Bill" Clarence Logan, Indiahoma, was born April 25, 1928 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Clarence and Pearl [Fisk] Logan. He passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 25, 2016 at the age of 87. A visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 from 11am-1pm in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1:00pm in the funeral home Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. On August 3, 1951 Bill married Keitha Turner in Sapulpa. She was a supporting spouse who loved and supported him throughout his career. Bill enlisted in the United States Army in 1947. He served in Korea, France, Vietnam, 3 tours, and the Philippines. During his military career Bill earned many awards and medals to include: The Bronze Star medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm. After several military assignments, Bill and Keitha moved to Lawton where he retired as a Sergeant Major, after proudly serving his country for 30 years. He was active in the masonic lodge, where he recently earned his 50 year pin. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite, then a Shriner. He was also a member of the Eastern Star in Elgin and Lawton. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He was known for his love of animals, his quiet demeanor, and his devotion to family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pearl; wife, Keitha; sisters, Jacqueline Stich and Geraldine Guthrie; brothers, Don Logan and Jim Logan. Survivors include his son, Tom Logan and wife Brenda; siblings, Katherine Givens, Johnny Logan, Charles Logan and Bob Logan; 2 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and his loving companion of 10 years, Pearl Riddle. He was a quiet man of strength and honor who is gone but not forgotten. We will love him always. |
© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma Monday, August 28, 2006 Keitha Lea [Turner] Logan Funeral for Keitha Lea [Turner] Logan, 73, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Chapel with Richard King officiating. Mrs. Logan died Saturday, Aug. 26, in Lawton. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. She was born on May 2, 1933, in Sapulpa to Helen [Wilkerson[ and James Henry Turner. She married Sgt. Maj. William Clarence Logan on Aug. 4, 1951. She lived in Texas, France and California before moving to Fort Sill. She then moved to New Jersey and back to Fort Sill in 1973 before moving to Indiahoma in 1984. Survivors include her husband of the home; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Lee and Brenda Logan, Indiahoma; a sister and brother-in-law, Marna Marie and J.E. Robinson, Sweeney, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack Preston and Doris Turner, Kellyville; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. |
