"Jim" Logan was born on December 18, 1945 in Lawton, OK to Bill and Jymmie Nell [Elliott] Logan. He died on July 3, 2014 in Lawton at the age of 68. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Randy Muirhead celebrating Jim's life. Jim was born and raised in Lawton, graduating from Lawton High in 1963. He attended Okmulgee Tech where he received his welding certification, and then served 2 years in the military. Jim remained a lifelong resident of Lawton where he worked as an independent welding contractor. He was a member of Cameron Baptist Church and enjoyed music, dancing and singing in his spare time. Jim married Gwendolyn Logan in 1981 and she preceded him in death in 2005. Survivors include his longtime partner Mary McKinnis of Lawton; step daughter Stephanie Orf and husband Ronnie of Apache; step son, Cary Conway and wife Anita of Chickasha; sister, Mary Katherine of Arizona; three daughters by his first marriage, Rachel, Diane and Janet; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
