© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma October 06, 2015 Jervis Jackson Jr Born: November 01, 1939 Died: October 06, 2015 Jervis Jackson Jr. was born to Jervis Jones Jackson, Sr and Rosetta Jackson on November 1, 1939 in Decatur, Alabama. After the death of their mother, Jervis and his sister Lucille were raised by their step-mother, Mrs. Augusta Williams Jackson. Jervis resided in several areas of the country during his life, including Cleveland, Ohio, where he retired as an employee of the Public School System; Dallas, Texas; and most recently, Lawton, Oklahoma. Upon arriving here in Lawton on October 6, 2010, he attended the St Elmo Missionary Baptist Church and Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where his son, Jervis, III, is the Pastor. Jervis was preceded in death by: Father Jervis Jones Jackson, Sr.; Mother, Rosetta Jackson; Daughter, Alma L. Jackson. Those left to cherish his memory are: two aunts, Ms. Jane Jackson, Mrs. Nellie Jackson; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Powell, Chattanooga, Tennessee; Mrs. Mary Butler, Decatur, Alabama; Mrs. Judy Allen (Frank), Decatur, Alabama; Mrs. Deborah Purter (Jackie), Decatur, Alabama; Mrs. Donna Booker (Curtis), Decatur, Alabama. One brother, Mr. Jimmy Williams (Christine), Kansas City, Missouri; One child, Jervis Jackson III (Cynthia); seven Grandchildren, Jarvis Jackson, Joshua Jackson, (Lil) Cynthia Jackson, Isaiah Jackson, Isaac Jackson; Jericho Benford, Montavius Troupe; Great Grandchildren, Jrue Scott, Journey Scott, Janice Scott, Ava Jackson, Kynlee Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 4pm to 5pm at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service in Lawton. Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11am at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church in Lawton.Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton. |
