© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma Thursday, November 7, 2013 Anna [Combreht] Butcher Dates: Birth date: August 6, 1927 Death date: November 2, 2013 Anna Butcher was born August 6, 1927 in Augsburg, Germany, to Anna (Luckinbill) and Fritz Combreht. She died in a nursing home on November 2, 2013 in Temple, Oklahoma at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel, officiated by Gerald Hayes. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Anna attended school in Augsburg, Germany. After graduating from high school she met DeRay Butcher while he was serving in the army and stationed in Germany. They were married in 1950 in Augsburg, Germany. She enjoyed being an army wife and traveling to various places she and DeRay were assigned to. She had a beautiful smile that made people love her. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, cooking, and singing. She retired from Cameron University in the early 1990's; she then opened Bridgette's Candle Light Inn until bad health made her retire again. She leaves behind many friends that loved her as much as she loved them. Her smile made many friends while she was at Temple Manor in Temple, OK. She was preceded in death by husband; DeRay Butcher; step son, Larry Butcher; both parents, Fritz and Anna Combreht. She is survived by her sister, Maria Rufer and nephew, Herard Rufer, both from Friedburg, Germany. She has loving family members and many extended family members.
