© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma October 2, 2015 Loretta F. [Rhodes] Brumbalow Loretta F. Brumbalow, Lawton, was born February 3, 1933 in Walters, OK to L.E. and Dollie Rhodes. She passed away October 2, 2015 at the age of 82. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. Loretta married Jimmy D. Brumbalow on May 21, 1951 in Frederick, Ok. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Loretta attended Cameron University where she obtained her bachelor's degree in mathematics. She then attended Oklahoma University where she obtained her master's degree in mathematics and computer science. She was a school teacher at Eisenhower Junior High School for 24 years before retiring. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family. In her free time she enjoyed quilting and crocheting and loved to cook. She was an excellent cook and cooked every single meal. She also loved reading and watching westerns. She is preceded in death by her parents, L.E. and Dollie Rhodes; brothers: Harlold, Raymond, and Freddie Rhodes; and sister, Doris Ann Rhodes. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy D. Brumbalow, of the home; son, Jimmy D. Brumbalow, Jr. and wife Jeannie of Pauls Valley, OK, daughter, Lynette Kesner and husband J.R. of Lawton, son, Dale Brumbalow and wife Terry of Euless, TX, daughter, Dee Ann Rose of Lawton; grandchildren: Jon Brumbalow, Jamie Clark, Shannon Kesner, Ivy Myers, Jessica Auman, Jerad Brumbalow, Michael Rose, and Zachary Rose; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Carl Rhodes of Glendale, AZ and Charles Rhodes; and sister, Evelyn Maahs.
