Trevis Arnaz Berry

Trevis Arnez Berry was born the pride and joy of his parents, the late Arthur Berry and Lillian Virginia Berry Johnson, in Topeka, Kansas on May 14, 1966. He was called from Sunrise to Sunset on December 21, 2015 in Lawton, OK.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 4-8pm at the funeral home

Funeral services will be held at the Greater Faith Apostolic Temple, 1423 NW Hunter Road, Lawton at 11 A.M on December 28, 2015. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Services.

Trevis was such a joy to everyone and never met a stranger, even at a young age. His elementary education began in Leavenworth, Kansas before moving to Lawton in 1981. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1984. During his senior year he was a member of the Gentry Singers and was named the most outstanding vocalist of the year. This award resulted in a full scholarship to Cameron University.

He later pursued a career in Cosmetology at Eve's College of Hair Styling. Trevis opened a Salon in Oklahoma City which led to a very successful business. He was loved by his clientele who came from far and near for his services. Love was shown to the end as they visited him in the hospital during his short stay in Lawton.

Trevis was an avid gardener growing vegetables and herbs. Cooking and inviting family and friends to his home was a lifestyle for him.

Trevis and his mother had a close bond and loved one another deeply to the end.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Leavenworth, KS where he leaves to mourn a host of friends and relatives. He will be missed by many, who are too numerous to mention.

Left to mourn his departure is his devoted and loving mother, Lillian Virginia Johnson, Lawton; his sister, T. Denise Johnson, CA; his God Brothers, Christopher Turner, Lawton and Javon Murray, New Jersey; a niece, Jericah Johnson, CA; a nephew, Chris Evans, CA; an aunt, Maud Fleming; uncles, Ivan and Edith Williams, Ross Rainey and David and Margaret Rainey; and a host of cousins and his many clientele.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Berry and his step father, Raymond Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Dale and Thelma Berry; his maternal grandparents, Luther and Lillian Rainey.
