Terry Gene Stalnaker

Birth date: April 29, 1965
Death date: June 23, 2014

Terry Gene Stalnaker was born on April 29, 1965 in Colorado Springs, CO to Bobby and Glenna [Mandrell] Stalnaker. He died on June 23, 2014 in Lawton, OK at the age of 49.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 27, 2014 in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Jay Driskill, officiating.

Interment will follow at Pecan Cemetery.

Viewing is scheduled for Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cameron Baptist Church Building Fund, 2621 "C" Avenue, Lawton, OK 73505.

Terry was raised in a military family, starting school in Germany and graduating from Lawton High in 1984. After graduation, he attended Great Plains Technology Center learning the auto repair trade. Terry developed an interest in carpentry which turned into his profession until his early retirement due to health problems. These problems limited Terry's ability to perform most physical activities, but it couldn't stop him from loving animals and their love for him. He even took over Diane's dog who really didn't like most people!

Terry was one of those people who never met a stranger, and made friends instantly.

He became involved in church after his Mom's death and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Terry has lived the life of a devout Christian for over two years, and is an example of the underlying promise we are given in Matthew 20.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenna; wife, Patricia, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his daughter Terra Condray and her daughter Addison of Arkansas; his father, Bobby Stalnaker and wife Diane of Lawton; sister, Glenna S. Curtis and husband Stanley of Lawton; brother Ronnie J. Stalnaker and wife Terri of Oklahoma; sisters, Sandra Blood of Oklahoma, and Brenda K. Silvester and husband Julian of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
