May 17, 2015 Beverly [Vinson] Boatright Birth date: September 27, 1950 Death date: May 17, 2015 Graveside service for Beverly Boatright, 64, of Lawton, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Paradise Valley Cemetery, north of Lawton. Ms. Boatright passed away in her home on Friday, April 17, 2015, in Burlington, NC. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends Friday, April 24, 2015 at the funeral home from 10:00 am until noon. Beverly was born on September 27, 1950, in Lawton to the late Bruce Vinson and the late Laveta Porter. She attended Lawton Public Schools throughout her childhood. She grew up in Lawton, where she was married and raised her two children Beverly enjoyed spending time with family, camping, boating and caring for her dogs, Midnight, Baby, Scratchy and Bud. She moved to Oklahoma City in 2010 to be closer to her son Billy and then later in April 2014 moved to Burlington, NC to be cared for by her daughter Melody. Beverly was a kindhearted, beautiful and caring woman who was loved by so many and brought smiles to those around her. She endured many health challenges throughout her life but continued to stay strong and fight until the end. She ended phone conversations with loved ones the same way each time "I love you. You are always on my mind and in my heart forever." Survivors include her daughter Melody and son-in-law Jeff Knudson of Burlington, NC; her son Billy and daughter-in-law Melissa Gilliam of Oklahoma City; her stepdaughter Rhonda Byrd of Lawton; her stepson David Gilliam of Lawton; her brother Perry Landry of Oklahoma City; ten grandchildren: Zack Gilliam of Big Springs, TX, Tandace Randall of Big Springs, TX, Derec Knudson of Virginia Beach, VA, Wesley Knudson, Alexandria Knudson, Victoria Knudson, Joel Knudson, Sophia Knudson, Aaron Knudson, and Nathan Knudson, all of Burlington, NC and a great grandson Quincy Randall of Big Springs, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Vinson, her mother, Laveta Porter, and a special aunt, Linda Foster. |
