© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma 21 October 2012 Sonja Elizabeth "Liz" Kirton Sonja Elizabeth "Liz" Kirton was born on February 20, 1966 in Barbados, West Indies to Darnley D. Sr and Ermenta [Callender] Kirton. She died on October 212, 2010 in Lawrenceville, New Jersey at the age of 46. Sonja was raised and attended high school in Princeton, New Jersey [Class of 1984]. She also attended The City University of New York [CUNY] pursuing a degree in Accounting and Bookkeeping. She most recently had beed employed at John F. Kennedy International Airport as a security Screening Agent. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and talking to friends about the current news events of the day. She was a valuable friend, and dedicated mother of two who often put other's needs ahead of her own. Sonja was preceded in death by her father, sister, Rosanne Husbands, and niece, Sharon Husbands. Survivors include her two sons, Emmanuel Kirton and Elijah Kirton, both of Hercules, CA; mother, Ermenta C. Kirton of Barbados, W.I.; sisters, Janet Mekonnen, of San Francisco, CA, Frances L. Kirton, of Barbados, W.I., Evera O. Williams and husbvand Roy of Lawton, OK, and Andrea Raza of San Diego, CA; brothers, DeCosta Kirton and wife Teshura of Huston, TX, Dan D. Kirton and wife Cheryl of Newtown, PAS, and Reginal D. Bynoe of Boston, MA; nephews, Charles M. Kirton of Bordentown, NJ, Alan Husbands of Barbados, Stefhan Brummell and wife Jennifer of London, UK, Micah A. Brummell of Harker Heights, TX, David S. Kirton of Denver, CO, and Dylan P. Kirton of Newtown, PA, nieces, Linnea A. Giles and husband Dexter of Brusselsm Belgium, Alexander E. Kirton of Denver, CO, Brittany D Jones and Madison T. Kirton, both of Newtown, PA, Nyla A. Williams of Lawton, OK, Nikita I. Kirton pf Mexico. and Tierra Kirton of Houston, TX; a great nephew, Zion D. Giles of Brussels, Belgium; and 3 great nieces, Amiyah E. Hancock of Brussels, Belgium, and Josline and Sierra Brummell, both of London, UK. She is also survived by many friends and extended family members that loved her and will miss her infectious laughter.
