© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma Saturday, April 12, 2014 Lynda Kay [Peacock] Gunter Dates: Birth date: October 10, 1946 Death date: April 9, 2014 Lynda Kay Gunter, 67, was born on October 10, 1946 in Hobbs, NM to William David (Dub) Peacock and Leatta Hand. She died peacefully at her home in Lawton with her family at her side on April 9, 2014. Lynda grew up in Hobbs, NM and attended the local schools. After high school she attended Ponca City Cosmetology School where she became a licensed cosmetologist. Lynda was an active member of the Ladies' Auxiliary and attended many of their activities. She loved to garden, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leatta and David; a son, Ronnie Gunter; and a sister, Ora Lee Mead. Survivors include her children: Shelly Wells and husband John, Jamie Harp and husband James, Kaylynn Yandell and husband Keith, Lisa Weathers and husband Tim, Dayton Hyde, Renae Fisher, Jimmy Gunter and wife Danette and Jeannie Gunter; grandchildren: Andre Rhodes, Ariel Rhodes, Aaron Rhodes, Jacki Wells, Joella Wells-Gibson, Jermaine Wells, Jacob Harp, Jesse Harp, Jace Harp, Desiree Yandell, Destinee Yandell, Amanda Bigford and Tyler Weathers; siblings: Glenda Enterline and husband LG, John Peacock and wife Donna, Ervin Dale Peacock and his wife, Buck Peacock and his wife, and Cybil Parker.
