Doris Jean [Blevins] Asbury

Birth date: December 4, 1937
Death date: January 20, 2015

Doris Jean Asbery, Dandridge, Tennessee, was born December 4, 1937 in Lawton to Rube and Alice [Flewallen] Blevins. She died January 20, 2015 in Dandridge at the age of 77.

Doris was born and raised in Lawton. She moved to Del City and worked for Tinker Air Force Base.

She enjoyed attending church with her sisters.

In her free time she enjoyed sitting out on the porch when weather permitted and she loved going and browsing around thrift stores.

She loved spending time with her family and singing gospel songs to the babies.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Asbery; parents, Rube and Alice; grandson, James Donald Slone; and 7 siblings.

Survivors include two children, Sharon Kay Manning Slone and husband Jimmy and Janie Martin and husband Jerry; 3 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
