Burial, with Air Force honors, will be at Ft. Sill Post Cemetery. Manuel Soriano was born May 31, 1956 to Vicente and Maria Soriano in Salvatierra, Guanajuato Mexico. He obtained a Master's Degree from the University of Oklahoma in Civil Engineering. Manuel worked as a Project Engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers overseeing the design, renovation, and rehabilitation of bridges and dams throughout the state of Oklahoma. In the Air Force he began his career as a jet engine mechanic and then later cross trained into Bioenvironmental Engineering. Mr. Soriano retired Honorably from the Air Force after 21 years of service. Manuel was a physical fitness guru and was a proficient athlete. He obtained a Black Belt in Taekwondo, loved to work out, was an avid tennis player and enjoyed bicycling from his home in Lawton, to the top of Mt. Scott twice a week. Manuel was a family man. He was very sweet and caring for his family. He had a great sense of humor. He was a great father, husband, and provider. Mr. Soriano could fix almost everything using next to nothing. To his family and friends, he was Superman and will be missed dearly. Manuel is survived by his wife of the home, Angelica Soriano; a daughter, Krystina Soriano, Midwest City, OK; a son, Christopher Soriano and wife, Brittany of Omaha, NE.; three sisters, Lourdes Hernandez and Bertha Morales, both of Chicago, IL.; and Maria Zepeda of Las Vegas, NV.; and two grandchildren, Ethan Daniel Soriano and Owen Joseph Soriano, both of Omaha, NE. Mr. Soriano was preceded in passing by his parents, Vicente and Maria Soriano.
