She died January 2, 2015 in Lawton at the age of 83. Anna married SFC Ret Robert A. Ostyn in Landshut, Germany on January 5, 1953; for the next 21 years she followed her husband to many different military assignments which included: Germany; Fort Ord, CA; Fort Carson, CO; and Fort Sill, OK. Her passion was knitting, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Martel Hockinger; sister, Leni Bell; great-grandson, Roy Clayton, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the home; six children: Robert H. Ostyn and his wife Carol of Mt. Olive, IL; Patricia McCoy and her husband Mitchell of Jenks, OK; Allan J. Ostyn of Wichita Falls, TX; Susan M. Pinkerton and husband Donald of Killeen, TX; Michael A. Ostyn and his wife Sunghe of Hewitt, TX; and Barbara A. Ernest of Navarre, FL; twelve grandchildren: Brian Ostyn, Heather Ostyn, Mark Ostyn, Angelia Ostyn, Erin Campbell, Kristi Fecteau, Melinda Clayton, Brandi Fincher, Robert Ostyn, Ian Ernest, Eric Ernest and Charlie Ostyn; 16 great-grandchildren: Skylar Frye, Jeremy Frye, Brookelyn Snyder, Grant Ostyn, Parker Ostyn, Christian Ostyn, Robert Campbell, Cole Campbell, Gracie Fecteau, Madison Clayton, Morgan Clayton, Kylie Fincher, Athan Ernest, and Layla Ernest; sister, Amelia Burton of Severn, MD. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anna's name to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
