Florene Rose [Henry] Dial
Florene Rose Henry Dial, of Temple, was born April 28, 1923 in Chillicothe, TX to James Leon Henry and Ethel Rose Newberry. She died peacefully in Temple at the age of 91.
Florene married Jack Dial on January 7, 1941 in New Mexico. They traveled to many places during his military career, to include Alaska, Texas, Arkansas, Oregon and Germany.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Florene was a long-time member of Ladies Auxiliary, VFW. She also enjoyed volunteering for the election board for many years.
In her free time she enjoyed cross word puzzles, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dial; sons, Gerald "Boodie" Dial and Michael Dial.
Survivors include her children: Jack Dial and wife Mary of Ft. Dodge, IA, Sue Lewis of Elgin, OK, Donna Ziminski of San Antonio, TX, Jan Williams and husband Jim of Universal City, TX, Cynthia Mayes of Austin, TX, Steve Dial of Lawton, Patti Smith and husband Willie of Walters, Ronnie Dial of Smyrna, FL, Tom Dial of Walters and Paula McCallick of Lawton; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
