Louise "Weeze" Ray

May 12, 1928 - September 29, 2017

Louise "Weeze" Ray, Lawton, was born May 12, 1928 in North Carolina. She passed away September 29, 2017 after a brief illness. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 1:00pm at Lawton First Assembly with Pastor Gary Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Sill Post Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
Louise enjoyed being a military wife, homemaker, a baker at Cameron University, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She married Samuel Ray on November 6, 1952 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The union lasted 43 years ending in 1995 when Samuel passed away. From this union they had 2 daughters, Jerrilyn Ballard (Lawton, OK) and Pamela Fields and husband James (Lawton, OK).
She is survived by her 2 daughters; granddaughters, Kia Sasser (Kyle), Samantha Rogers (Markeith), both of Lawton, and Britney Ballard of Norfold, VA. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren: Jordan Sasser, Samuel Sasser, D'Andre Garrison, Jailen Rogers, Alexandria Nelson and Ashleigh Littleton and a hose of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel and two brothers.
Special acknowledgement for Mrs. Ruth Jackson, a lifetime friend of over 60 years and family, Comanche Memorial Hospice and the Lawton First Assembly church family.
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Markeith, Kyle and her great-grandsons, Jordan, Samuel, Jailen and D'Andre.
