Luise Charolette Harmon

May 22, 1934 - August 17, 2019

With great sadness the family of Luise Charolette Hessler-Harmon passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her home on August 17, 2019. She is joined in heaven with her husband Jesse Travis of forty-two years of marriage and her forty-two year old daughter Mary Elizabeth. Luise was born May 22nd, 1934 in Offenbach, Germany to Rosa Elizabeth Schmitt. Luise survived the war while raising her younger sister and brother while her mother worked. She is survived by her sister Anni Heberger (Fritz) and brother Waldermar Hessler. Luise met and fell in love with Jesse Travis Harmon in Offenbach, Germany and they were married on August 8, 1957 and married again on August 10th by an American minster. Her husband served in the Army for over twenty years and lived in various countries. Her four children were born from that love: James (Sissie), Mary (Ron), Rosemarie (Bob), and Rebecca (Glenn). Luise was very talented, sewing clothing, knitting, and crocheted many essentials for her family. She loved gardening, sharing her German heritage by cooking authentic meals for her family. Luise loved to dance and was a member of Solo Square Dancers and the Crippled Turkeys. She enjoyed spending time at the VFW with friends, Lady's Auxiliary 5263 Club, American Legion, and Widows Club. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She had eight grandchildren Jim, Coral Beth (Deceased), Adam, Dustin, Charity, Chris, Lauren, Kristina, Sean and was blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flower please send donations to Leak Fitch Cancer Center in Lawton, Oklahoma.
