William Emerson Jarvis

March 12, 1917 - October 1, 1982

William (Bill) Emerson Jarvis was born 12 March 1917 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He died 01 October 1982 in Lawton, Oklahoma, in a hospital there following a brief illness. He was 65 years old.
He married Mabel Krause on 29 December 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mr. Jarvis entered the United States Army in 1944 and retired in 1965. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He and his wife had been Lawton residents since 1965, when he retired from the military. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Mt. Scott Masonic Lodge, and the Memorial Builder's Sunday School class.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters: Jan Parkman, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Carole Jarvis, Oklahoma City; two sisters: Miriam Wolfe and Gladys Tray, both of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; and a brother, Robert of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Monday, 04 October 1982, in Lawton at the Ritter-Dalton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Fort Sill Post Cemetery with military honors.
