Dora Brown

September 19, 1923 - April 15, 2018

Dora Brown, age 94, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018.
Dora was born on September 19, 1923 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Dennis and Mary (Pratt) Gilbert. She married the love of her life, Ike James Brown, on June 15, 1946 in the Parish of DeSoto. They would spend the next thirty-three wonderful years together before his death in 1979.
Preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Mary Gilbert; her brother, Willie Lee Dankins; her sister in law, Mable Dankins and her nephew Leonard Williams, Dora is survived by her nephews, Willie Oneal Dankins, Eddie Ray Dankins and wife Audrey and Napolion Adams; her nieces, Janice Carrier and husband Wilford and Mable Credit, her great nieces, Sparkle Williams, Marleshia Jones, Brittney Ray and Demetria Dankins; her great nephews, Willie Dankins, Jr., Steven Ray, Quinten Ray, Brandion Ray and Eddie Ray Dankins Jr. and special friends, Wanda Byrd and Attorney Chuck Wade along with many more relatives and close friends.
